Objectives of the Conference

The conference will include the following topics:

• SeisComP Users Group Meeting

• Network overview

• Station response information and metadata

• Seismological databases

•  Analysis software packages

•  Quality control

         This workshop is intended for people from Europe and its immediate surroundings who are actively involved in operating seismological observatories, and analyzing and managing earthquake seismological data. The objective is to exchange practical experiences, new technologies and coordinate new relevant technical developments and exchange of (real-time) waveform data. Consequently, observatories are encouraged to present their recent developments and a number of specific technical developments are highlighted. The SeisComP Users Group will have a special meeting during the first day of this workshop. Special interest will also be given to relevant developments within two large projects in Europe ; The Network of Research Infrastructures for European Seismology (EC-project NERIES ) and the German Indian Ocean Tsunami Early Warning  System (GITEWS ). This workshop is a continuation of the successful annual workshops in Prague initiated within the MEREDIAN project.
