The main purposes of this event are: 

·         to strengthen co-operation among the scientists of 17 CEI members States, active in Earth Sciences; contribute to a closer and stronger cross-border collaboration between geophysical, geological and geodetic organizations and institutions of CEI countries; unification of geophysical, geological and geodetic data bases and observations, maps, monitoring programs;

·         dissemination of the recent achievements of the Earth Sciences contributing to a sustainable development in a safe and healthy environment in CEI area;

·         to make a critical review of the progress in geosciences, for the 17 CEI members States, and transfer of knowledge and technology for reducing the vulnerability of the lifeline systems and communications;

·         to harmonize different levels of preparedness in case of natural disasters at national scales of CEI States by means of unification and standardization of the available geophysical, geological, geodetic and environmental data related to natural risks and hazards.
